Make your own laundry detergent

I have been thinking about this for the past few months. I looked it up on the web and found that it looks pretty easy.

You will need:

• Borax (sodium borate, available in the laundry section of most grocery stores)


• Washing Soda (sodium carbonate, can be purchased at pool supply store)


• Bar soap (such as Zote laundry soap, or even regular bar soap like Ivory)


• Water

Now, what do you think? Is it worth it? Does anyone have any experience to share with this? I am thinking about trying it and already bought my borax.
