A coming-of-age story in a family with bizarre super-powers that set in on the thirteenth birthday. The Beaumonts never know what their savvy will be. Mibs' father is injured in a car crash right before her birthday, so her parents are absent on her special birthday. As soon as she thinks she knows what her savvy is, she sets out to go meet them in the hospital, with a few helpers. Thus their stow-away adventure begins.
Fun novel for young readers. 10-12 years old.
